Ace Racer is a driving game set around an island where you are the driver taking part in the Cristo Island Race. The rules of the game are easy to understand. In order to complete each level you have to gather a certain number of points. Each level has its own benchmark of points which you have to attain before you can proceed on to the next level. Increase your points by collecting more and more stars, jumping over the buoys, performing tricks and keeping yourself alive. To win the championship, you have to be in the top three places.
Once the race starts, use the ‘right’ and ‘left’ arrow keys to steer your jet ski. Use the ‘up’ arrow key to jump and ‘down’ arrow key to perform a trick on a ramp or just after you cross a ramp. During the race, beware of the sea creatures. You will see a blue spot appearing in the water that tells you when a sea creature is coming. This spot will keep growing bigger till the sea creature shoots out of the water and leaps over you. If you bump into the creature or into the buoys, you lose a life. You’ve got five lives in the game. As you proceed, the weather keeps on getting worse so be quick in attaining as many points as you can before the storm approaches.
